Former Lumpinee Stadium Muay Thai World Champion Mongkoldetlek Por Pim-on delivered a punishing second-round stoppage against ONE Championship newcomer Utkirzhon Khamidov at ONE Friday Fights 163.

The bantamweight Muay Thai bout took place on July 24 at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok. Khamidov started aggressively, attacking with heavy punches and a spinning back kick. Mongkoldetlek remained composed, studied his opponent’s combinations and quickly found an opening.

The Thai veteran dropped Khamidov twice in the opening round with sharp teep kicks to the body. Khamidov managed to beat both counts and continued moving forward, but the damage had already begun to slow him down.

Mongkoldetlek controlled the distance with kicks when the action resumed. After noticing that Khamidov repeatedly lowered his head while charging forward, he pulled him into the clinch and attacked the body with a series of powerful knees.

Khamidov was knocked down again but managed to return to his feet. Mongkoldetlek immediately forced him back into the clinch and continued landing unanswered knees until the referee stopped the contest at the 2:00 mark of the second round.

The victory was Mongkoldetlek’s sixth under the ONE Championship banner and improved his professional record to 126 wins and 54 losses. More importantly, the performance showed why the former Lumpinee Stadium champion remains one of the most dangerous clinch fighters in the bantamweight Muay Thai division.
